Art is a puzzle. Art is challenging, frustrating and occasionally when I think I have got it right, fun and rewarding. I think I have it right when I capture the moods and emotions from serene to excited that I am trying to portray. My work is mostly inspired by nature, but sometimes purely imaginary. I make art because it is an endless learning process. I enjoy learning and constantly evolving. I have evolved from representational to the more abstract. I have tried to learn to use color, form, line and contrast to achieve the desired effects. The primary use of palette knives has served to help me become more free and actually paint with the paint, gradually developing what I hope is a unique style. I am especially honored and gratified when someone else likes my art well enough to purchase it and display it in their own home.
